Audrey Jo Cisneros

Audrey Cisneros is a dedicated learner and experienced teacher leader with an entrepreneurial mindset. Currently, Audrey is a Master Teacher at IDEA College Preparatory North Mission where she recently transferred to found the new high school Visual Arts and Technology programs. Her proven track-record student achievement results has brought her several awards and honors with IDEA Public Schools. In 2014 Audrey was awarded for exemplifying the district core values “No Excuses” after she more than doubled the district passing rate for International Baccalaureate DP Visual Arts.
Audrey is trained in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program as an instructor, coordinator and associate examiner. While teaching for over 9 years at IDEA Public Schools, Audrey has completed countless hours of pedagogical and leadership training covering topics such as how to run an effective meeting and crucial conversations. In 2017 Audrey was named a Master Teacher Laureate and had the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Action Learning Project program at IDEA Public Schools. Over the course of the 2017-2018 school year she worked on initiatives focused on retaining and coaching the top performing teacher talent for nation’s fastest-growing charter school network.
Audrey is a teacher leader committed to continuous development. Her dedication to improving results drives her to constantly seek opportunities to gain insight and share knowledge with others whether on a local or national level. Since 2014, Audrey has lectured, led round-tables, and facilitated workshops at state and national art education conferences. In 2018, she began to transition her focus from art education to leadership and learning, this work led her to be asked to speak on a panel at the National Charter School Conference.
Audrey graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2010 with a BA in Studio Art and Associates of Art. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Digital Leading and Learning from Lamar University.
Audrey resides in McAllen, Texas with her 3 sons Moses, Lucas and James. She is passionate about family, authentic learning and educational equity.
